Jennifer Allen is a Los Angeles-based artist who first became enamored with metalsmithing as a child watching her father create metal sculpture on their land in coastal Maine. Inspired by theses experiences she went on to learn various design techniques at independent studios in Maine, San Francisco and Brooklyn. Her work is influenced by traditional Native American designs and countless hours spent trawling flea markets and antique stores. She also cites her grandmother's adoration for costume jewelry as a source of inspiration. She now resides in Silver Lake with her husband James and their chocolate lab, Beulah.
