Winthrop's Daughter

Jennifer Allen is a Los Angeles-based artist who first became enamored with metalsmithing growing up watching her father create metal sculpture on their land in coastal Maine. She went on to learn design techniques at independent studios in Maine, San Francisco and Brooklyn. Her work is influenced by countless hours spent trawling flea markets, antique stores and marveling at vintage designs. She also cites her grandmother's admiration for costume jewelry as a source of inspiration. She now resides in Silver Lake with her husband James and their chocolate lab, Beulah.
